So sad to hear of your passing Martin. I remember you arriving at secondary school in Malton in 1963 and we were close friends for 30 years. We had so many adventures together in and around Ryedale, North Yorkshire Moors, Malton and York, with cars, properties, country pubs and all those things young guys got involved with in their 20's and 30's in the 1970's & 80's. You were at my wedding in 1985 and at the christening of our daughter Catherine. When you moved to Oxfordshire, we had started our young family and we lost contact which often happens, but I always regret not keeping in touch because we did have a similar sense of understanding the world and we missed your company and regular visits. RIP Martin, you were unique.

We will miss Martin for his dry sense of humour, his wide knowledge of so many things that interested him and his ability to get us out of a technical hole in our new houses! So sorry to see him go
